PINEY CREEK GUARANTEE

Piney Creek Labradors offers you, the buyer, a health guarantee against any congenital defects and a 26 month guarantee on hips.  To qualify for this guarantee you will be required to follow the procedure listed below:
 
To be covered for Health Guarantee:
 
1. You will be required to have your new puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 3 working days of sale. You must inform your veterinarian to look for any congenital defects as well as exam the overall health of your puppy.  You will be required to return a health certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian stating the veterinarians findings with in 14 days of purchase. Failure to have your puppy checked within 3 working days and returning the health certificate within 14 days of purchase will make hip guarantee null and void. Health guarantee is null and void after the puppy has been with its new owners for over 3 working days, after this time we cannot control the puppies enviroment.
 
2. If your vet finds a serious health problem (within the specified time frame) you must contact us immediatly and provide a written description of the health problem from your vet. All associated cost, including vet fees and transportation are your responsibility.
 
3. If your vet does finds a serious health problem within the 3 working days you may return the puppy with AKC papers and receive a replacement puppy. If a replacement puppy is not available you will receive a full refund of the purchase price of the puppy.
 
To be covered by our 26 month Hip Guarantee:
 
1. The puppy / dog must be owned by the original buyer.
 
2.  You must have returned a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian within 14 days of purchase.
 
3. The puppy / dog has not been bred.
 
4. The puppy / dog is not overweight, over exercised, nor has done an excessive amount of jumping up or down, this can cause bone spurs and the dog will not be able to be evaluated by the OFA for certification.
 
5. The puppy has been consistently fed high quality, meat based protein, balanced dry dog food. IAMS for large breed dogs is good.
 
6. The puppy / dog must include Piney Creek ('s) prefix in his / her registered name.
 
7. The dog must not be over 26 months old in age.
 
8. Hip evaluation must come from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) and must show that the hips are moderate to severly dysplatic.  All costs for the evaluation and treatment are the responsibility of you, the buyer.
 
Should your pet be deemed moderate to severly dysplastic, you, the buyer have several options:
 
1. You may return the dog back to Piney Creek Labradors with AKC papers and sign ownership back to Piney Creek and receive a full refund of the purchase price.
 
2. You may return the dog back to Piney Creek Labradors with AKC papers and sign ownership back to us and receive another puppy of your choice.
 
3. You may choose to keep your dog and we will refund half of the purchase price to you. We will also require that you spay / nueter your dog.
